Claudia Espinoza
A writer and researcher from Torreón, Coahuila, she holds a degree in Information Sciences and is a graduate of the IV Diploma in Creative Writing from the UNAM School of Creative Writing; the XI Diploma in Literary Creation at the CCL Xavier Villaurrutia — INBA; the XIII Diploma The Wisdom of the Voice and the Spoken Word (CEUVOZ – INBA); the II Diploma in Playwriting for Young Audiences (UNAM); and the Dramaturgy Consultancy led by Ximena Escalante at CaSa Oaxaca. She has also completed various studies focused on life writing and historiographic genres.
She is the author of more than ten books on Mexican popular culture, as well as works dedicated to memory, biography, and family and corporate narratives, including Identidad zapoteca: la vida de Abigail Mendoza Ruiz y sus hermanas (Ámbar Editorial, 2021) and Este libro es una golosina — recognized as “Best Fundraising Book in Latin America” by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards — (Asociación Gilberto A.C. and Ámbar Editores, 2018), among others.
She has also worked as a researcher for editorial projects by authors such as Guadalupe Loaeza, Alejandro Rosas, Ernesto Murguía, and for institutions including Editorial Planeta, Fundación Carlos Slim, Fundación Paisaje Social, SACM, ASPA México, and the National Chamber of the Dairy Industry, among others.
